Akki rotti


It is famous as 'Kan rotti'. After patting the rotti on the cover, few holes are made. May be that's how it gets it's name. (Kannu means eye referring to the holes on it)

Ingredients: Onion, green chili , Jeera(2 spoons), Coriander leaves, Rice flour, Salt to taste.

Procedure:

1. Finely cut onions , green chilies and coriander leaves.
2. Take around 2 cup of rice floor and mix all the ingredients. Mix it well.
3. Add sufficient water to make a solid dough.
4. Make balls of your desired size and pat it on a sheet (which has a thin cover on one side)as thin as possible. Before patting the ball apply some oil to make it greasy. So roti will separate easily from the cover when you put it on the tava.
5 Place it on the hot tava. Leave it till it turns little brown.

Akki rotti is ready :-) I served it with Beans sambar(huli). It was delicious.
